Boogaloo with The Snails at Kung Fu Necktie

The Philly Soul Syndicate is hosting a night of R&B, soul and ska music at Kung Fu Necktie tonight, featuring local reggae band The Snails. The Syndicate was born a year ago with the goals of bringing together the best of Philly’s current soul scene while spreading appreciation of its rich soul history.

At tonight’s Boogaloo party you’ll dance to your favorite R&B 45s (they recommend this video of “Shake” by Otis Redding, Eric Burdon and Chris Farlowe to get you ready) and catch The Snails’s final hometown show before they hit the road with The Slackers later this month.
