Watch Mal Devisa sing “Live Again,” see her in South Philly tonight
Massachusetts artist Mal Devisa is in town tonight for a show with The Extraordinaires. She’s a multi-instrumentalist who creates incredibly intimate and fleeting experiences during live shows, approaching her songs from an angle of spoken word and improv to reflect her mood and live in the moment.
Her sound is both old-soul (but definitely not retro) and progressive (but definitely not abrasive). It’s about the music from the instrument, be it bass (like in the video below), saxophone or keys, connecting with her vocals to reach a deeper place with the audience.
