Avid Dancer opens for Delta Spirit at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA tonight. This is a case of the band name perfectly matching the mood of the music, as Avid Dancer’s shimmering indie pop songs are dance floor ready. The LA project of Jacob Summers released a handful of songs on last year’s I Want to See You Dance EP, including the mellow “Stop Playing With My Heart” and the retro-sounding title track. Check out the video for that song below and pick up tickets for tonight’s 18+ show here.

Steve Gunn returns to Philadelphia to headline Boot & Saddle tonight. The Brooklyn-based musician has been touring the world in support of last year’s Way Out Weather, a record that follows in JJ Cale’s footsteps and expands Gunn’s boundary-pushing guitar playing with full-band arrangements. Folkadelphia just premiered a live session with the band last week, which you can stream and download here. Watch them perform “Tommy’s Congo” live at SXSW below and pick up tickets for the 21+ show with Mary Lattimore & Jeff Zeigler and Nathan Bowles here.

Black Thought performs at The TLA tonight with local trombone player Jeff Bradshaw. The concert marks the release of Home, a live album of Bradshaw’s songs that he recorded during a  show at the Kimmel Center last May. Black Thought features on the record, as does Trombone Shorty and Take 6. Tonight’s band will included appearances by Eric Roberson, Kenny Lattimore and Tweet in addition to some surprise guests.
