From what we’ve heard on their new album, indie rockers Speedy Ortiz can master any sound. Their latest track, “Puffer,” takes on a drum-and-bass heavy R&B feel, folding in fuzzy distortion and raw guitar sound and frontwoman Sadie Depuis’ sultry vocals. Their third album, Foil Park, is due out April 21 through Carpark Records and they begin a month-long tour later this month with multi-instrumentalist Mitski, and Krill. You can catch them at Johnny Brenda’s on April 26. Tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar; listen to “Puffer” below.
