A little power issue didn’t stop Philly rockers Restorations from playing a power-packed performance for the local video series Static Sessions. The band performed an uncut version of “Val d’Or,” which is an older track from Restorations’ self-titled debut. Symphonic guitar riffs and reverberating drum hits keep this track rocking from start to finish. Jon Loudon’s raspy, intense vocals are backed by a solid distribution of fierce rhythms from his bandmates on guitars, bass and keys. By the looks on the their faces, they were in the zone for this session.

Restorations just headlined Johnny Brenda’s – read Sameer Rao’s review here – and is about to head out on tour with The Early November and Lydia. They will be playing the Union Transfer on June 4; tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar. Watch their powerful performance of “Val d’Or” with Static Sessions below.
