It will be a year this June since Philly’s Strand Of Oaks released HEAL, his acclaimed and celebrated album of rock and roll redemption. The album lifted the band to their most far-reaching, and well-deserved success to date. From the first song to the last, including stand out tracks like “Goshen ’97,” “Shut In,” and “JM,” Showalter wrote a powerful and introspective rock record.

For the most part, Tim and the band spent the last year out on the road, winning new fans night after night with his powerful performance: including several high profile Philly shows and a blistering set at last year’s XPoNential Music Festival.

Last December, Strand of Oaks played Union Transfer and it was filmed by WHYY for their On Tour television series. During the half hour show Showalter talked about various events that influenced his songwriting, and features songs from his album HEAL. Watch the show below.
