The Districts pay a visit to BBC Radio and Laura Laverne
Still riding high on the success of their debut A Flourish and a Spoil, Philadelphia favorites The Districts are currently overseas on a European tour. Paying visit to radio stations along the way, the band recently stopped by and chatted with Laura Laverne at BBC Radio 6.
Laura Laverne seemed to be gushing in enthusiasm, asking about the band’s upbringing and songwriting process. (It’s almost funny how shy the The Districts are in their answers, contrasting with her bubbling personality.)
The group also went on to discuss their ever-evolving sound and how they believe they are growing in step with their music. We were also treated with performances of their hits “4th and Roebling” and the new single “Heavy Begs,” which live up to their recorded copies and then some; check out the interview below.
