Animals turn the tables in Courtney Barnett’s comical animated video for “Dead Fox”

XPoNential Music Festival headliner Courtney Barnett has never been short on a sense of humor.  Her new video for her “Dead Fox” from her new Sometimes I Sit And Think, Sometimes I Just Sit is a whimsical animated clip that follows a bunch of animals as they run from the cops, ride bikes, and even chase down humans.

Shifting the perspective, Barnett’s subject matter always seems to speak to a greater message.  Political and sometimes abrasive, her blissfully deadpan voice adds personality to her music.  With this song in particular, the struggle and obstacles of a fox have never been more clear – and the animation is a perfect compliment some of Barnett’s most interesting and biting lyrics.
