It is no secret that Philadelphia is known for its thriving underground punk scene, and has become the hub of all things DIY. Philly-based record label Phameless Records, a new project founded by members of Seeing Snakes, has announced the Phameless Records Fest, a two-day music festival featuring punk acts that represent some of the best sounds coming from the east coast.

Day one is 21+ and takes place Saturday, May 23rd at The Fire. Goddamnit and Seeing Snakes, two bands that are not unfamiliar in the local scene, will take the stage to weave together gruff vocals and catchy guitar hooks. Joining them will be The Headies, who create their unique brand of fun pop punk and New Brunswick’s melodic punk act City Limits who are gearing up to release their upcoming EP “Homebodies”.

New Jersey punks Aspiga will be headlining day two on Sunday, May 24th, an all ages event at PhilaMoca, and will be accompanied by Gameday Regulars, who are starting to make a name for themselves with their high energy songs that find the optimal balance between melodic and hardcore as apparent on “The Punisher”, the first track off their 2014 split with Guerilla Monsoon. More information and tickets for both days of the festival can be found here.
