It’s supposed to be scorching hot out this week – and it’s a good thing New York Times has shared a stream of Eternal Summers’ new album Gold And Stone, because this album was made for sunny summer days. The new album is set for release on June 2 through Kanine Records.

Formed in 2009, Eternal Summers is a Roanoke, VA power trio consisting of Nicole Yun, Daniel Cundiff and Jonathan Woods. Gold and Stone is the band’s fourth studio album, adding another layer of solid music to what the band has built and perfected over the years. Hear the single “Together or Alone” below:

From the crafty minimalism on their debut Silver, to the dream punk sheen on 2012’s breakout Correct Behavior, to the power pop on The Drop Beneath, Eternal Summers has continuously redefined the elements of summer anthems. And drawing from such celebrated acts as Blur, Echo and the Bunnymen, Lush, and Dinosaur Jr., the band knows how to make the kind of anthems that hook listeners and keep them coming back for more, even in the dead of winter.

Consequence of Soundnoted, “Nicole Yun’s sun-kissed guitar lines and wispy vocals entwine for efficient beauty, capturing the serene nature of their name perhaps more than anything else in the Eternal Summers catalog.”

Imposeadds, “This record promises to be Eternal Summers’ most earnest release yet.”

The band was also just named an “Artist You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone.

Gold and Stone is now available for pre-order through Pledge Music, and you can see them at Everybody Hits this Friday! Find the rest of the tour dates below.
