Producer and songwriter Boots, aka Jordan Asher, is carving his own lane with his newest EP Motorcycle Jesus.  A credited producer on high-profile albums such as Beyonce’s self titled, Boots creates a distinct sound that’s easy to recognize due to its murky and apocalyptic nature.

Friday’s performance was full of high energy as Boots was backed by a band and performed some of the songs from his EP.  Like his accompanying short film of the same name, the sort of eerie presence that was felt watching was matched in real time as Asher and his bandmates commanded the stage.  Moody light effects when hearing the high octane tracks like “Mercy” and “I Run Roulette” added to his unique style and really rounded out the performance.  Commended for his ability to slow things down also, Boots wasn’t afraid to trade in his electric guitar for an acoustic one as he finished his set with “Oracles” and “Still.” His EP Motorcycle Jesus is out now on ITunes.

If you missed the performance, listen to back to an archive and check out a photo gallery below.
