Los Angeles musician Emma Ruth Rundle stopped by for a Folkadelphia Session. Rundle performed songs from last year’s Some Heavy Ocean LP, giving them a new perspective with just vocals and electric guitar. Stream and download the session below.

A Key Studio Session with Grandchildren has been a long time coming, but the stars finally aligned and the six-piece local band brought some new songs in to the XPN studios this week. The avant-pop group performed two songs from their upcoming Zuni LP, joined by horns from West Philadelphia Orchestra. Check out a video of the band doing “Walking Dead” below and download the tracks here.

It’s your last chance to download 100 free songs from the World Cafe archives. The collection of live performances, which includes tracks from Delta Spirit, Real Estate, Sharon Van Etten, Tori Amos, Lord Huron, Against Me! and so many more, will disappear tomorrow. Check out “Shelter Song” by Temples below and head over to the World Cafe Tumblr to download the full set.

Local duo P.S. 118, who will release their debut EP Vol. 1 tomorrow, premiered “Function” with us earlier this week. It’s hinged on an “infectious groove” that Lucas Hough says was influenced by Maya Jane Coles’s Essential Mix and jazz. Stream and download “Function” below and celebrate the EP’s release at Silk City tomorrow night.
