Pop group Trails and Ways have emerged with their first full-length, Pathology, this month, and tonight they headline Kung Fu Necktie. Their music resembles Beach Fossils by way of Passion Pit — certainly the type of sound to spend your summer evening enjoying. Watch video for “Mtn Tune” below, and get tickets to their 21+ show here.

Grammy Award-winner John Mellencamp brings his 80-show tour to the Merriam Theater this evening. The tour is in support of Mellencamp’s latest studio release Plain Spoken, and tonight’s performance will begin with guest Carlene Carter. Listen to “Sometimes There’s God” from Plain Spoken below, and purchase tickets for the show here.

Philly-based singer-songwriter Hemming plays Milkboy tonight. Her latest single, “I’ll Never Be the Man for You”, is a lamentation about being wrong for the person you love, and it’s not one to miss. Hemming won VH1’s “Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project” just a year ago and is expecting to release an album in the coming months. See her with Jesse Harris tonight — tickets for the 21+ show here, and listen to “I’ll Never Be…” below.
