Is country music the new drag? The long beloved drinking, drag show, karaoke, and all round awesome neighborhood go-to spot – Bob & Barbara’s Lounge (at 15th and South Streets) – will be the setting for the 1st Annual Philadelphia Country Music Festival hosted by The Wallace Brothers on Saturday, August 22nd. Starting at noon, the all day, all night festival is free, and includes a fun lineup of country (and country adjacent) locals including John Train, Hurricane Hoss, John Francis, Hanks Cadillac, Jet Weston and The Atomic Ranch Hands, Levee Drivers, Hezekiah Jones, The Punkabillys, Kevin Killen and The Swift Half, Red Skiles and The Country Ramblers and many more bands. One doesn’t usually think “country” music in connection with Bob & Barbara’s, however, while this isn’t the first time country music has graced the stage at lounge and bar, it’s an impressive lineup and promises to be a real hoot. (pun intended).

Check out the full lineup and get more information here.
