California singer-songwriter Jessica Pratt will take your breath away. Born in San Francisco, based in LA, Pratt’s minimal guitar meditations are easily comparable to Nick Drake and Karen Dalton. But even if you’re not familiar with those nuggets of 70s folk, Pratt’s music is still affecting. Her sophomore album On Your Own Love Again was released in January via Drag City Records and Pratt appears at Boot and Saddle tonight with XPN Artist to Watch Ryley Walker. Tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Local Americana scene faves The Lawsuits hit Chestnut Hill’s verdant Pastorius Park tonight for a free concert. Their 2014 EP Tumbled found them venturing outside of their classic rock informed comfort zone into areas of smooth soul, including the standout single “Sweet Marcelle.” Give it a listen below and get more information on tonight’s show here.

Long-running experimental rock trio Blonde Redhead headlines Union Transfer tonight. The band’s ninth album, Barragán, was released back in September and featured a much more spacious, minimal sound as compared to previous releases – though a critic in Exclaim! hailed it as a grower in the best way. Tickets and more information on the show can be found here.
