Jack White’s other, “other” band- The Dead Weather is getting ready to release their next album in September.
The Dead Weather which consists of The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, Jack White, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence, will be debuting their latest album “Dodge & Burn” in the fall. The Dead Weather released their second album ‘Sea of Cowards’ in 2010, which was the followup to their 2009 debut ‘Horehound’.
According to a press release-
“The band spent their rare and sporadic free moments over the past year recording together in Nashville. Thankfully the thick and heavy Dodge & Burn will satisfy your urges for the dark magic that is The Dead Weather for a very long time.”
A limited-edition version of the “Dodge & Burn” album will be released via Third Man Records’ Vault subscription series, featuring opaque yellow and black vinyl, alternate artwork, an embossed sleeve, poster, a deck of Dead Weather playing cards and a seven-inch single.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer & hip-hop legend DJ Grandmaster Flash will be playing London’s Brooklyn Bowl July 29th. Grandmaster Flash recently played the Glastonbury Festival where he joined up Mark Ronson on stage to perform ‘Uptown Funk’ with George Clinton and Mary J. Blige. Grand Master Flash is responsible for assembling one of the earliest and greatest rap groups of all time “Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five.”
