The Philadelphia Folksong Society and Awbury Arboretum are hosting the first-ever Heartwood Music Festival on Sunday, July 12.

From 11a.m. to 6 p.m., you can browse various food and craft booths and listen to local music. The Festival is being held amongst the meadows and trees on the stunning grounds of Germantown’s Awbury Arboretum. Spend a day of summer the right way – by relaxing and enjoying a great lineup of Philly-area artists.

This lineup includes the fast-emerging crossover artist Kuf Knotz. Leaving no musical territory unexplored, he has opened for top acts of all genres – including The Wailers, Dr. Dog, Amos Lee, and The Roots, among many others. His newest album,A Positive Light, was released this past March, and it pushes the boundaries of hip-hop. Feeling that hip-hop needed more upbeat, feel-good music, Kuf Knotz created this new album that takes his own unique style to the next level. Listen here:

Along with Knotz, many more Philly-area folk performers that have received coverage on WXPN will be joining the stage. They include poetic singer-songwriter Lizanne Knott, blended bluegrass band Man About a Horse, and acoustic bluesman Norman Taylor. Check out the full lineup below.
