Girlpool highlight Before the World Was Big in new Tiny Desk Concert

Two of our favorite things have combined once again: Girlpool and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts. The Philadlephia-based duo performed songs from this year’s standout LP Before the World Was Big, the power of their simplistic, no-frills musical style emphasized by the inconspicuous setting of an office.

Because their songs are mostly sung in unison, the quick snaps of harmony are that much more magical – like a punk rock Simon & Garfunkel. They have a couple of shows in town coming up, including July 26th at First Unitarian Church and August 14th at Everybody Hits.
