Deal Casino continue to celebrate the release of Nika at North Star Bar. The Asbury Park, NJ band released the EP last week, following up last year’s Heck with four classic alt-rock songs (think Gaslight Anthem meets Neon Trees). Listen to Nika below and pick up tickets for the 21+ show here.

Spelling Reform are also celebrating a new release tonight at Johnny Brenda’s. The Diving Bell EP is a debut effort for the band, introducing us to their brand of indie rock by way of four well-crafted songs. They cite Guided By Voices and Wilco as influences, but you’ll also hear some Badly Drawn Boy and Weakerthans winding around the record. Check out the EP below and pick up tickets for the 21+ show here.

Cheltanham native Verbatum Jones hits up The Fire. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard any new music from the rapper, but h’e promising new material soon on his Facebook page. In the meantime, check out his collaboration with Halfro and The Bul Bey here and listen to his Key Studio Session from last year, where he performed tracks from his debut (.winter) LP. Tickets and information for the 21+ show can be found here.
