Folks expecting to see Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ Saturday night got an extra bonus as Bruce Springsteen jumped on stage to perform a surprise set of music.

U2 played @ Madison Square Garden Saturday night during which they performed their song “October” for the first time in 26 years. “October” is the title track off U2’s 1981 LP and the band hasn’t played it live in concerts since November 1989.
Elbow will return with a new EP later this month. It’s called “The Lost Worker Bee” and it comes out July 24th. The 4 songs on it incldue the title-track, ‘And It Snowed’, ‘Roll Call’, ‘Usually Bright’. The release follows on from recent single ‘What Time Do You Call This?’, a song recorded for recent film Man Up.
Elbow calls the new EP:
“a welcome return to the format” that “characterised” their early releases.
Elbow released their 6th album ‘The Take Off And Landing Of Everything’ in March 2014. Lead singer Guy Garvey is also working on his debut solo album, which is due out in the fall.
It was another memorable moment for Dave Grohl & The Foo Fighters last night in Boston. Grohl, who is still recovering from a broken leg, invited his orthopedic surgeon on stage at Fenway Park to sing with the band. Dr. Lew Schon, who helped repaired Grohl’s broken leg, joined the band for a cover of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.” Fun stuff! Watch Dr. Lew get his jam on below!
Bon Iver debuted some new music at the inaugural Eaux Claires Festival in Wisconsin.
