Promising surf rockers Del Sur have given fans another delicious summer melody to bop to as we hit the back half of the season. This latest release, “Aubrey Plaza,” comes on the heels of their earlier single “Cape Coast”, which we touched on here at The Key at the start of summer. The Philly natives are gearing up to play at The Fire on August 2nd, playing in support of TV Girl and Novelty Daughter. You can get tickets to that show here.
Originally the bedroom project of lead singer/guitarist Michael Collier, Del Sur slowly formed into a formidable four piece providing some of the best surf rock Philly can offer this side of the Atlantic. The boys re-released their debut EP H.A.G.S. back in February – we had the original premiere of it last fall – but the material on the debut only featured tracks recorded by Collier and close friend and bassist Conner Watts. The two latest releases feature all four members of the band, lending a better representation of the live show that these guys can put on. These two latest tracks are a sign of what’s to come from these exciting young surf pop rockers. Check out the song below.
