This Just In: The Kalob Griffin Band calls it a day
Cult fave roots rockers The Kalob Griffin Band have reached the end of their run. Founded in State College in 2011 and quickly whipping up a frenzied, fanatical fanbase across the tri-state region, the band posted on their Facebook page this afternoon that they were calling it a day.
KGB Fam,
It is with extremely heavy hearts and an immense amount of appreciation that we come to you today. After spending over four of unarguably the best years of our young adult lives together, the KGB chapter of our collective stories will be coming to an end in September 2015. We’ve achieved some tremendous heights together, and can not appropriately express the level of gratitude we have towards fans, friends, and family who have supported us throughout. Every 4-5-6-12 hour drive you made and every penny you spent kept us motivated, engaged, and eager to make each show better than the last. Without you all, this would have been an insignificant blip on the radar of our lives, but instead it was one of the most rewarding and flat out fun rides anybody could ask for.
We love you all. We truly truly can not thank you enough, from the bottom of our hearts.

No word on whether the KGB is throwing a big blowout farewell party, but they do have one remaining show on the XPN Concert Calendar – Friday, August 21st at The Trocadero for a Magic Hat party. Tickets and more information on that show here.
