New Zealand comedy duo Flight of the Conchords say they’re writing a film based on their HBO series.

Flight of the Conchords– AKA- Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, have confirmed that they have started writing a new movie based on their HBO comedy series. They formed back in 1998. The second season of Flight Of The Conchords aired on HBO in 2009. Read more here. By the way, Jemaine Clement provides the voice of that talking horse in those DirecTV commercials.

The Dead Weather is releasing a new album.


The Dead Weather– (Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence) will debut their 3rd album entitled: “DODGE AND BURN” on September 25th. It’ll be the Dead Weather’s 1st full-length release in five years.

Michael Stipe of REM has revealed his Top-10 list of all-time favorite books.


Michael Stipe was asked by new bookstore “One Grand” for his Top-10 list of favorite books. One Grand only sells books that various creative/intellectual types — writers, musicians, etc. — list among the 10 books they’d bring to a desert island. Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein has already shared her picks.
