“Big Pink” isn’t just a pink house where The Band and Bob Dylan recorded in the 1960’s; It’s now a rental property where you can stay!
Bob Dylan and The Band wrote and recorded The Basement Tapes and Music from Big Pink at the big, pink house in West Saugerties, New York, and now it’s available to rent for $650 per night. The house is now available for rent on VRBO, (an Airbnb-like property rental site.) There’s room for up to eight people. Big Pink was newly built when Rick Danko, who was collaborating with Bob Dylan at the time, found it as a rental in the late 1960’s.
De La Soul have announced their next album which will feature Usher, Snoop Dogg & more.
According to SPIN:
De La Soul’s forthcoming Kickstarter-funded new album keeps on sounding better and better — both literally (Bob Power, who’s worked with D’Angelo, Common, and A Tribe Called Quest, is mastering the album) and in terms of its incredible guest list. Besides recruiting Damon Albarn, David Byrne, 2 Chainz, and Little Dragon, they’ve announced that Usher, Snoop Dogg, Pete Rock, Roc Marciano, and Estelle will also appear on the LP. Head on over to their official Kickstarter to watch a video of Power talking about the mixes’ intricate live string arrangements and vocal tracking.
