Electronic eccentricity abound in the newest track from Philly’s QQQ

QQQ starts off his newest single “17 Carrier Shiff” with a collection of seemingly random ideas all petering out before they can a chance to become fully realized. This isn’t a lack of focus but more of a technique implemented by QQQ with skill and clear intention. It is after this intro that the song fully kicks into gear with a bouncing, heavily layered electronic landscape featuring quirks as out there as what sounds like an incoherent young toddler as a feature.

QQQ will bring these eccentricities to MilkBoy this Friday, September 11 in support of electronic pop group My Body, whose track they recently remixed. Check out that remix and the new track “17 Carrier Shiff” below and get more information on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.
