Football season is right around the corner and as always there are high hopes for the Philadelphia Eagles. While we at The Key and WXPN make no pretensions about being a sports-focused website or radio station, we do love music and Philadelphia. So when we heard that local rapper Lushlife has been named official DJ of the 2015-16 Eagles season, and curated a playlist specifically for Eagles game day tailgates, it was hard not to get excited.

The 5-hour, 74-sound playlist, which can be found on Spotify here, is an eclectic mix of genres that may not be present in your average tailgate party. Lushlife keeps Philly in mind with several local artists including The War On Drugs, Man Man, old-school rapper Schoolly D and of course the Rocky Theme. The Philly rapper didn’t forget to include some classics as well like The Rolling Stones’ “Miss You”, “The Boys Are Back In Town” from Thin Lizzy and Steve Miller Band’s oh-so-appropriate “Fly Like An Eagle”

“Hopefully this mix of indie rock gems, hip-hop bangers, and classic jams will get you extra-hyped for the football season,” Lushlife said on his personal website. We all know that Philadelphians don’t need much help getting pumped for their Eagles, but this playlist will surely put you in the mood. Check it out below.
