After premiering “Black Ice” with us last week, Howlish bring their new music to Boot & Saddle tonight. The local indie rockers will release ()uter later this fall via Sniffling Indie Kids, following up last year’s Open Bones EP debut with a new collection of atmoshperic songs. Check out “Black Ice” below and pick up tickets for the 21+ with A Valley Son and Owl and Wolf here.

The Spirit of the Beehive and Amanda X return home from tour with a show at the First Unitarian Church tonight. The former are beginning to work on a new record, which will follow-up July’s You Are Arrived (But You’ve Been Cheated). Meanwhile, Amanda X will release a two-song EP called Hundreds and Thousands later this month. Los Angeles outfit Dengue Fever headline Johnny Brenda’s tonight. The Cambodian pop / psych band is touring behind this year’s The Deepest Lake LP, marking their fifth full-length outing since beginning in 2001. Watch the video for “No Sudden Moves” below and pick up tickets for the 21+ show here.
