We definitely do not subscribe to the “celeb-grandstanding style” of reporting but this one we simply could not ignore: Jack White tried to fight Patrick Carney at a NYC bar last night.
Apparently The Black Keys & Jack White have some kind of ongoing feud going back to Jack’s claims that The Black Keys have taken from his sound. White later apologized. Early this morning however, Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney Tweeted that Jack White challenged him to a fight last night at a NYC bar. Carney says he walked away from the confrontation describing White as:
“A 40 year old bully who tried to fight the 35 year old nerd.”
“Nobody tried to fight you, Patrick. Nobody touched you or ‘bullied’ you. You were asked a question you couldn’t answer so you walked away. So quit whining to the Internet and speak face to face like a human being. End of story.”
And then there’s real music news…
