Worriers is the brainchild of longtime punk rocker Lauren Denitzio, and though she has a live band (featuring scene staple Mikey Erg), Worriers debut LP Imaginary Life (produced by Against Me!’s Laura Jane Grace) is a work entirely her own. The records and and ensuing tour will obviously be very personal for Denitzio and Worriers, but fortunately, “personal” still means kick-ass punk rock. The band takes the stage at PhilaMOCA tonight; click here for more info.

Recently-reunited Philly hip hop group Jedi Mind Tricks will bring their unique style of underground rap to the Trocadero tonight in what promises to be a lively performance. The group, which first made waves in the indie-rap scene almost two decades ago, is touring now in support of a new album, The Thief and the Fallen. Go here for more information on tonight’s concert.

Philadelphia-based songwriter Chris Kasper has been a busy man of late. Since recording and producing his 2013 record Bagabones, Kasper has been touring extensively as well as playing a series of unique shows in collaboration with Philly Dance Company, BalletX. Tonight at World Café Live he will be performing a more traditional show, but you are sure to get your fill of heartfelt and beautifully written folk and blues. Head over to the XPN Concert Calendar for more information on tonight’s show.
