Recognize the above photo? That’s hasidic-raggae rapper Matisyahu who has premiered a new live video of his song “King Without A Crown.” Watch below.

To celebrate his 10-year music anniversary, Matisyahu is releasing “Live at Stubb’s Vol. III” on October 3rd.  The CD will feature stripped down versions of six songs. In anticipation of that release Matisyahu is premiering the live video for “King Without A Crown.”  The video was filmed in multiple locations, including shows at City Winery in Chicago, Foxtail Club in Las Vegas, and a studio session in Brooklyn. Matisyahu told Billboard that “Crown,” which is featured on the upcoming release, holds a special place in his heart.

“I wrote this song and recorded an early version of it around 2002. While I was in Yeshiva I didn’t listen to music for almost two years but once in a while I would slip off up onto the roof in Brooklyn and listen to it on my Discman. It kept my dream of creating music alive in my heart.”

Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp performed together on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show the other night. Watch them sing Willie’s 1965 song “Night Life” below.

Willie Nelson and John Mellecamp will of course be part of the 30th anniversary of Farm Aid, which takes place this Saturday (Sept. 19) in Chicago.
