Singer-songwriter and funk vibes come together on Josh Miller’s new single, “Scars”

Local singer-songwriter Josh Miller has been working with fellow Philadelphians Darla to help record his new EP, From Within. This week Miller previewed the EP with the first single, “Scars”— which you can listen to below.

The track combines Miller’s skill as an acoustic songwriter with a focus on poetic lyricism and Darla’s ability to bring the funk with the help of Wil Schade and Jake Fabian’s trademark saxophone stylings. The inclusion of Darla as a collaborator should help Josh Miller bring something new to the singer-songwriter scene while holding true to his roots as a wordsmith. From Within is due out October 2.
