Lancaster’s Innocence Mission are at it again with their first new material since 2010’s My Room in the Trees: the alt-folk trio’s LP Hello I Feel the Same will be out next week on Korda Records.

Culture Collide premiered a video for the title track earlier this month, a sublime song that hangs on the warmth and sincerity of lead vocalist Karen Peris and playful instrumentation.

On the new song, Peris told Culture Collide:

“Maybe each of us feels at times that we are not understood, that we cannot make our meaning clear. This song is meant to tell about an opposite kind of moment, where someone might say to us, ‘Hey, I know exactly what you mean, this is true for me also!’ And it is like a proof to us that we are not alone, that we are part of a larger whole. I always hope that in songs, somehow there can be an exchange of understanding.”
