Next Friday, October 30th, G. Love and Special Sauce release their new album, Love Saves The Day. The album features guest appearances from DJ Logic, Lucinda Williams, Citizen Cope, Ozomatli and David Hidalgo from Los Lobos.

Philly born G. Love (born Garrett Dutton) has been playing with Special Sauce – drummer Jeffrey “The Houseman” Clemens and bassist Jim “Jimi Jazz” Prescott – since they met in 1993 in Cambridge.

In anticipation of the forthcoming album, G. Love joined NPR’s Rachel Martin on Weekend Edition from the studios of WBGH in Boston to talk about the new album. “We feel like we really achieved a pinnacle of creativity and also performance,” G. tells Martin, about the new album.
