Back in 2012 Philly rapper GrandeMarshall was a relative unknown, that is until he released his first mixtape, 800. The 18-year-old talent was subsequently signed to Fool’s Gold Records, a label who has signed acts like kid Cudi and Run The Jewels back when they too were flying under the radar.

GrandeMarshall is set to release his debut full-length, My Brother’s Keeper, on November 20th and if I had to bet, it will be an album that gains the MC hoards of new fans. Ahead of the album, Marshall teamed up with Fact Magazine’s Freestyle series and recorded a swaggering three-minute freestyle session from the 11th Street Subway Station. There are several Philly references housed within his tightly-wound flow, which serves as a proper taste of what to expect come November 20 when Marshall drops My Brother’s Keeper. Check out the freestyle and listen to GrandeMarshall’s newest self-produced track, “For Gangstas” below.
