Atlanta singer and songwriter Raury first caught our ear a year and a half ago with his song “God’s Whisper.” This month, he’s XPN’s Artist to watch, and program director Bruce Warren likens his impact to a young Prince, calling Raury an aartist that “speaks his own musical language, informed by hip-hop, rock, folk, and R&B.”

Last month, Raury played his first headlining show in Philadelphia at The Fillmore Philly’s Foundry club. Earlier in the day, he and his band stopped by WXPN Studios to record a session for World Cafe with David Dye.
