Watch Kurt Vile play “Lost My Head There” in Paris for A Take Away Show
For six years, the cleverly named La Blogotheque have been filming intimate and unique performances for their series A Take Away Show. Recently, they have been showing special love to some of our favorite Philly sons. First with this awesome rendition of “Long Distance” from The Districts and now today with a performance by Kurt Vile’s in Paris cafe Le Square Gardette — which you can watch below.
Vile chose to play his piano-driven track “Lost My Head There” from his newest album B’lieve I’m Going Down… rather than one more guitar based. Vile, backed by a drum machine, brings his usual subtle swagger to the performance, keeping things simple yet effective and giving a live show sure to please longtime fans.
Vile is heading out on tour in December and into the new year starting Wednesday, December 2 in NYC. Check out the video for “Lost My Head There” below along with the current roster of tour dates Kurt has coming up.
