Philly native Duane Eubanks, the youngest of the local jazz scene’s famed Eubanks brothers, returns to Philadelphia tonight. Last year, he released Things of That Particular Nature on Sunnyside Records. Tonight, he and his quintet play two sets at Chris’ Jazz Cafe in Center City, one at 8 p.m. and one at 10. Local garage rockers RFA head out to Phoenixville tonight for a gig at Steel City Coffeehouse. The band recently hit up the Daytrotter Studios and has been road testing new material that it will release hoepfully this year. Reading roots rockers Frog Holler trek down to Philadelphia tonight for a headlining show at Johnny Brenda’s, with support from fellow Berks County-ers Caroline Reese and the Drifting Fifth as well as Philly’s Brad Hinton. In 2014, Frog Holler frontman Darren Schlappich released a great album with his pop rock solo project Ataloft, though in his main gig he explores the many moods of Americana.
