Pet Milk reemerges with new demo “Destroy All Human Life”
It’s been a few years since we heard from Philadelphia indiepop outfit Pet Milk. The band semi-formally broke up in spring of 2013, though some vaguebooking after that alluded to a possible future. Further signs of life showed up over the holiday when Pet Milk updated its Bandcamp page on New Year’s Eve with a firey tune called “Destroy All Human Life.”
It’s a fuzzy noise-punk jam just under two minutes in length, and finds singer Sarah Schimeneck mulling over ideas of power and control with lyrics like “I can’t let anyone get by.” According to the ol’ PM BC, this is a rough mix from album sessions recorded between 2011 and 2013. The album (as yet untitled) is coming (maybe) in 2016. Still not a lot to go off of, but hey, it’s great to have a new Pet Milk song in our headphones for the first time in a while. Listen below.
