Curtis Cooper performs “The Effect” for a Random Tea Session

Curtis Cooper has a lot of energy; you can tell it’s bouncing around inside of him, looking for ways to get out. One option, as he suggests in his song “The Effect,” would be to get into a fight, but these days Cooper is putting his energy into music.

This Random Tea Session comes after the local musician released his solo debut Laughing In Line last week. Usually filmed inside the eponymous Northern Liberties tea shop, the clip shows Cooper with his acoustic guitar on the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk. His kinetic performance against the deserted walkway is a fitting visual accompaniment to the song. Watch the session below and listen to the record here.
