Meet Chester rapper Frio in the mega chill “CoolSmoov”
A standout on the Dead Wrong Records roster is Chester newcomer Frio, who just dropped a sleek new single called “CoolSmoov.” It’s an apt title, and with Dead Wrong’s house producer Azaan on the beat, you know the track is going to have a throwback vibe. On this one, the horns on this one remind me of something out of Beats, Rhymes and Life-era Tribe with a poppin’ kick-snare undercurrent.
We hit up Frio for a few words on the song, and this is what he had to say:
I wanted to make a record that could set the vibe. Nothing catchy, just something to sit back and relax to. The inspiration for this record was every toast worthy night I spent with the people who made those nights memorable. Aside that, life is CoolSmoov and this record is definitively a glimpse into this way of life.
