This year’s Center City Jazz Festival has been announced and features a wide range of performers and venues. Happening on Saturday, April 30th, this will be the event’s fifth annual installment after local trombone player Ernest Stuart founded the fest in 2012.

Local representation comes via sax player Mike Cemprola, jazz / hip hop project Killiam Shakespeare, Swedish-born / Philly-based vocalist Anna Cecilia, funk guitarist Masami Kuroki, “bizzaro-party-funk” trio Muscle Tough, saxophone player (and Temple grad) Chris Oatts, trio Chrome Els and saxophone player Nasir Dickerson.

Filling out the bill are a number of national and international acts including Baltimore saxophonist Tim Green, Chilean saxophonist Anibal Rojas and trumpeter Josh Evans, with more to be announced.
