Scranton’s Petal – the emo / indie rock project of singer-songwriter-guitarist Kiley Lotz -will be performing at PhilaMOCA tonight. The band’s first album Shame was released last year on Run For Cover to wide acclaim. Also playing will be Somos, The Superweaks, and The Obsessives. More information can be found here.

WXPN welcomes singer-songwriter Lizanne Knott to World Cafe Live for a CD release brunch to celebrate her newest album, Excellent Day. Knott will be signing CDs upstairs and brunch will be served a la carte. More information can be found here.

NY surf-rockers Sunflower Bean are playing at Kung Fu Necktie tonight to support the release of their debut album with Fat Possum, Human Ceremony. Opening up for them will be fellow New Yorkers Honduras and Philly’s Cold Fronts. More information can be found here.
