In Chicago over the weekend Sinéad O’Connor covered David Bowie at a cancer charity benefit event. Sinéad covered ‘Life on Mars’ and ‘Sorrow’. Watch.

An opera based on Pink Floyd‘s 1979 album The Wall, will premiere at the Quebec opera house in March 2017.

“Another Brick in the Wall:The Opera” is a collaboration between the Montréal Opera and Roger Waters. It’ll be among the events showcased during the Quebec’s 375th anniversary celebration.

Stop me if you think you’ve heard this one before but: Morrissey as Mayor of London?

Morrissey has been asked to run for Mayor of London the Animal Welfare Party and the 56 year old singer is said to be “seriously considering it.” A statement on his “True to You” website claims that Morrissey has been invited to join the for their upcoming election. Morrissey would need only 330 signatures to enter the contest. Morrissey is from Manchester and has lived in London, Los Angeles and Rome. To be eligible, he would need to be registered to vote in London, or show that he had lived or worked there for 12 months. Nominations for London mayoral candidates close at the end of March.  The election takes place May 5th.
