Well that was so much fun, we’re going to do it again.

Following a successful inaugural year, we’re excited to announce the return of Key Fest, a festival of regional artists curated by The Key, taking place at MilkBoy on April 22nd to April 24th. The three nights of local music will once again showcase a variety of genres that thrive in Philadelphia, from hip hop and pop punk to singer-songwriter and folk rock.

The opening night will feature some of our current faves from the hip-hop and electronic pop world. Ill Doots brings its regular #FourthFriday party into the fold of the festival, joined by vibemaster Kate Faust, the infectous rap collective Hardwork Movement and the dynamic and charismatic Joie Kathos.

On Saturday, it’s all about punk and indierock with the wonderful indiepop outfit Kississippi heading up the bill alongside Shelf Life – the impressionistic home-recording project of longtime scene player Scotty Leitch – and the dynamic rocker Madalean Gauze kicking the show off.

Sunday explores the burgeoning Americana rock / singer-songwriter scene, but mixes up artists from it who don’t normally share the stage: storytelling master Hezekiah Jones headlines along with the guitar-driven rockers Howlish, the lush and vibrant Lou and the aching heartbreakers Friendship.

Single-day tickets are on sale now, as well as a limited number of three-day passes. Check out music from the bands below and pick up tickets here.
