Listen to the first song from Starsick, the new project of Fleeting Ends’ Matt Vantine
Matt Vantine (guitarist of The Fleeting Ends) has shared his new music project, Starsick, and their song “Talk About Left Behind”.
“Talk About Left Behind” is a piano rock ballad similar to The Beatles or Spoon with its layered harmonies, rhythmic variation, and utilizing instruments like the organ and glockenspiel.
The song also brings up memories of psych/space-rockers Ween, who Vantine cites as an influence (“We are using the cat logo as our ‘mascot’ right now, kind of like Ween uses the face on the cover of GodWeenSatan”.) The song was produced by Fleeting Ends drummer/singer Matt Amadio.
The band will be playing at The New Leaf Club in Bryn Mawr on April 2nd. More information on that show can be found here.
