Atmospheric post-rock band Explosions in the Sky are beginning to make the rounds in support of their seventh LP The Wilderness, released just last week on Temporary Residence. They stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to perform “Disintegration Anxiety.” It’s a deeply hushed song that bursts into a meteor shower of melodic, distorted guitar and a bed of background fuzz.
