Crossroads Concert Series brings jazz to Germantown
A quintet of local and New York-based jazz musicians will give a free performance in Germantown this Sunday, April 10th, presented by the newly formed Crossroads Concert Series. This is the third in a four-concert residency that will culminate in May with a day-long Gospel festival. CCS was formed with a goal of cultivating community involvement, bringing residents together to celebrate the diverse cultures that call Germantown home.
Sunday’s performance will feature local pianist James Collins leading fellow Philadelphian Noah Hocker on trumpet, along with New Yorkers Steve Wilson on saxophone, David Wong on bass and Victor Lewis on drums. Opening the show will be a brass band from Temple University, along with a special performance from the Tony Williams Quartet.
