Happy to see the large crowd from the stage of World Cafe Live, London singer-songwriter Barns Courtney said, “Talk about the ‘City of Brotherly and Sisterly love!”

The emerging artist is making a name for himself, touring the states and being featured of the soundtrack for Bradley Cooper and Harvey Weinstein’s movie Burnt.

Playing a solo acoustic set, Courtney showcased new music for World Cafe. He opened with “Hands,” creating his own percussion through the body of his guitar. Courtney possesses a raw, soulful rock and roll sound with a wide vocal range, from a mellow deep sound to belting out powerful notes.

While encouraging the crowd to come closer to the stage, Courtney bonded with the crowd throughout the whole set. He finished up his set with his hit “Fire,” stating that he was only playing it due to a monkey puppet hanging out in the audience.

Making a few more stops in the US along his tour, you can catch Courtney at MilkBoy in Philly tomorrow night, Saturday April 9th. More information can be found at the XPN Concert calendar. Check out more photos in the gallery below.
