This week, Philly three-piece Hurryreleased a remarkably catchy song called “When I’m With You,” the second single off their upcoming record Guided Meditation.

The song is a perfect carefree summer tune. Lead singer Matt Scottoline’s vocals drift into a playful falsetto, buoyed by a toe-tapping bass line and some sunsoaked, hazy Real Estate-esque guitars. This effortless feeling is mirrored by the lyrics, as Scottoline sings fondly of the rare sort of relationship that just seems to work without even thinking about it (“I don’t even have to try when I’m with you / All the stupid things I say you know they’re true,” he begins the track). Clocking in at just over two minutes, song is over before you know it, disappearing into thin air like a pleasant wisp of smoke.

Stream “When I’m With You” via the AV Club, and check out the video for Hurry’s first single, “Nothing to Say,” below. The band also will be playing Everybody Hits on May 6 for the Guided Meditation (Lame-O Records)album release show — grab tickets to the show here.
