The Leonard Pearlstein Gallery and Mad Dragon Media will be bringing their “musical concept event” Philly Radness to the Gallery on Tuesday, April 19th at 6:30 pm, which will include performances from Queen of Jeans, Hemming, and a yet-to-be-announced secret opener.

Philly Radness is part of the Phenomenal Radness Project, started by Miami-based artist Eric Cade Schoenborn, that brings together technology, skateboarding, and art. Schoenborn is joining forces with Ed Selego and Philly’s Chris Mulhern to turn the Gallery into an “interactive pop-up skatepark.”

The site-specific installation is a skateable, projection mapped, generative art sculpture. Using video projections from Philadelphia based skate videographers Chris Mulhern, alongside photographs provided by Nocturnal skate shop the exhibition is a multimedia representation of skateboard culture in Philadelphia. Visitors are encouraged to come and skate!

The Leonard Gallery skatepark will be open to the public from April 5th to May 22nd, but they will be holding a celebratory show on the 19th that will add music into the mix as well. The show is $5 to get in, and doors open at 6. For more information, head to the Facebook event page.
